Causes Of Salmonella

Salmonella is a name for a group of bacteria, is one of the most common causes of food poisoning in the United States. The ones at risk for this disease is adults, children, infants and people with  diseases. The sources of the bacteria (food) is contaminated eggs, pultry, meat, unpasteurized milk or orange juice, cheese. The sickness should last about 12-72 hours, the symptoms are diarrhea, fever, abdominal cramps, vomiting. This is a self-limited condition. In other words, it takes care of itself. You don't need treatment. You don't need meds. You don't need to be hospitalized. It just burns itself out. That's why we have the diarrhea. It's sort of a way for the body to get rid of the offending bacteria. You can prevent the illness by taking some healthy precautions before handling foods or anything. Keep cooking are clean, hands washed, especially after handling animals or their things. Make sure food is at right temperature. Chill food promptly after cooking.
