Good evening Pancho,

I am applying for the position of college student tech 1 in response to our meeting in the career center office at the university of texas at austin (UT)

As I have mentioned before I am currently going for my Masters degree in mechanical engineering. The two courses of mechanical engineering that i been taking are (fundamentals of mechanical engineering and Mechanical Engineering management) this classes both involve real life experiences working with cars and engines. This has allowed me to obtain the skills that are needed in order to have the needs to work. The position has come with many challenges of real life world applications plus having responsibilities of managing my own shop for a time period of three days working on cars and having to make the decisions of what has to happen with the car.

I have noticed that mechanical engineering is playing a major role in the development of next gen cars and planes. I believe i'm a good candidate for your program and this internship position will be a perfect opportunity for me to establish myself in a exciting career.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Rafael Castor

Persuasive Essay

The University of Texas at Austin, is one of the top schools in Texas no anyone can get into that school easily, either they get in by being super smart or a scholarship this is my dream to challenge myself and get in. I should receive a scholarship, because I am really smart and creative.

My desire is to be a engineer and get a major in that field. When i would talk to my friends about this they would say that we cant do anything of that because we live in a palace where we can learn much about that, but that didn't stop me from following my gut. its hard moving to another place that you never been to and living by yourself while paying for college is a really hard thing to do because I don't have the money to have my own place since all the money I earn and have is going to pay my college. I'm not going in to become a mechanical engineer for the money I am doing it because its something I love to do, my father has taught me a lot that i know of right now but I want to extend my knowledge of what I know and turn it into something greater.

I still remember my first time working on a car with my father the feeling of bringing back to the way it came out of the production line is just an amazing feeling that it can not be explained. I just could not stop thinking about what was going to be the next built or what can we do to make it faster, I believe that Engineering is an art engineers are artist and have to power to create anything with their hands not everyone can make paintings even Engineering is not for everyone.

My dream is to Create the next generation make history, make something inspires and helps the future of this world. I believe I can make this happen by becoming a professional Mechanic.
