Victorian London

During Victorian London Holidays they have a special song they sing every year :The holly's up ,The house is all bright ,The tree is ready ,Rejoice and be glad , All children tonight.The significant greenery used were holly,ivy,and misteltoe.According to their beliefs a cutting  of grenneery hung in a babies cradle  to keep them safe from fairies.Hollys with thorns and ivy were revered for their protection  against witches and the forces of evil.
