Beaches, parties, friends, no school, are all big parts of summer. Summer is fun time for students and teachers to relax and be free of school for a couple months. Summer is a blast for everyone, but could it be blasting our brains as well? Summer is a long break from school and most kids don't do any work to keep up with their studies, I am one of them. Students come back to school after summer and have forgotten half of what they learned last year. Making the teachers go back and reteach stuff over and over. This can be slowing students down causing them to learn much less than what they are capable of. So should we get rid of summer? I don't believe so, I think that if we broke summer up into smaller amount of breaks throughout the school year students could still get the break they need, and they wont forget a lot of their studies.
