Biomass

Biomass

Biomass is a renewable energy source, because its supplies are not limited in plants, trees. biomass gets its energy from the sun, since all organic matter contains stored energy from the sun, there are 3 types of biomass 1. Wood and agriculture:- they use it for home- grown energy. 2. landfills:- its methane gas is produced as waste decays in a landfill. 3.Anaerobic  Digetsures:_ breaks down animal waste. Landfills can collect the methane gas, purify it, and use it as energy source. Developing a strong biomass industry in the United States will have tremendous economic benefits including trade deficit reduction, job creation, and strengthening of agriculture markets. California uses wood and agriculture, it produces more than 60 million tons of biomass each year, in the mid-1800's wood and provided 90% of the United States energy, today biomass provides 2.9 of these country's energy. Biomass energy is currently used all around the world, especially in rural and developing nations.

I got my answers from the energy research.
