Simon Bolivar 'El Libertador'

Simon Bolivar was a independence fighter. Simon nickname was El Libertador. He was born July 24, 1783. His wife name was María Teresa Rodríguez del Toro y Alaysa. Simon was a wealthy criollo who spent many years discovering Europe. Simon wanted independence for Venezuela from the European control. He fought for the his country independence in wars. In a few years, Bolivar liberated New Canada (now Columbia), Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and upper Peru (now Boliva). Bolivar died on December 17, 1830 from a disease called Tuberculosis.
