Government Regulation has become a public issue in the United States. Some believe that problems should be tackled by companies and their owners, and others believe that the national government should step in and assist in the problem. The United States has attempted to find a balance between these two views. Over time, different politicians have influenced the country in both ways.

Some examples of the influence have been seen throughout history. One of the greatest examples is when President Franklin D. Roosevelt created the Public Works Administration to help the American Economy during the Great Depression. Although this was a great form of government regulation, it saved the nation from further economic failure.
