Volleyball

History of Volleyball....

Volleyball was once called "mintonette" . The game was invented in 1885 by a man named William G. Morgan, he also created basketball four years before that. The offensive style of setting and spiking was first demonstrated in the Philippines in 1916.Two years later, the first two-man beach volleyball game was played, though the professional side of the sport did not seceded until much later, the first game was in California 1965.

Equipment for the Game....

Ball, net, court must have all lines marked, post for the net must be setup properly, knee pads, proper shoes.

Setting....

Setting: Make a triangle with your thumbs and forefingers touching each other at the tips, place fingers about your forehead.

Bump....

step 1: Position yourself underneath the ball. Avoid stretching your arms out to meet the ball, as it creates unnecessary contact between the ball and the tender and sensitive inside of the arm

step 2: Been with your legs slightly more than shoulder length  apart. When you make contact, force is needed to be applied by using your legs, so bending your legs puts you in the proper power position. Using your arms to apply force leads to redness and soreness.

Step 3: Hold your arms in front of your body, Over lapping your dominant hand over your non-dominant fist. Position your thumbs side-by-side and extend your arms in front of you. Maintain a slight bend in the elbows to cushion the impact or risk elbow pain later.

Finally step 4:Make contact with the ball at the base of your thumbs, rather than your forearm. Instead of smacking the ball and applying upward force from your arms, press down into your legs and straighten your body so force is applied through your legs and lower back. You'll have more power behind the bump and it'll protect your arms from slapping at the ball, to prevent more pain later.

How many players and why that many is needed....

A volleyball team is split into 2 teams which on the teams there are 6 players, which each team is divided by the game net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. And the games continue.
