A day in the life of a House Wife (War in the Air)
Hardworker by day, House wife by night
Day in the life
The turning point
So then men are off to war and we women have to stay here and take care of the house . but that's not all we do, people think that all women do is cook, clean, take care of the kids, etc. But WW1 was the turning point for us (The Role of Housewives in World War I). Now that the men are gone, women have to take up their jobs like working in the factory's. We also need these jobs because we have no source of income, that mean no food to feed us and our children and even to pay the bills. So while we women were working in the factory, we were thinking about stuff like how we are not just housewife's we are something more that, and that is how we can help out with income too, we don't have to depend on their husbands to do everything. So this gave us a sense of independence.
How were housewife's significant to the war in the air?
So housewife's now have jobs and a source of income, but we did they make a difference in they war? Well some housewife's would be working in a manufacturing plants, and we were making different stuff for the war and shipping them out to them. An example of what they were making is different parts for planes, Why we were making parts for planes is that having planes is the war were giving them would give the Canadian army an edge in the war. So without us, we wouldn't be able to make the parts for the plane and the army would be at a disadvantage, because all the enemies armies (Germany) would have their planes and the Canadian armies would be killed. So all in all we housewife's played a big part in WW1 and WW2 and we're very helpful in these wars.
In Conclusion housewife's played a big part in the war and without them Canada, they wouldn't have any chance in the in war and they would have gotten wiped out in the war. Women played a big part in the war even if they weren't on the battlefield. So they were very significant to the war in the air and also is many other wars as well.
