The digestive system is a group of organs working together to turn food in to energy and nutrients.The digestive is designed to absorb the nutrients.We need this system because it converts the foods we eat into the nutrients we need for our cells. The organs in the associated with the digestive system are mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, anus, and rectum.
The periodontal disease is a disease associated with this system.
