Social media plays a big part in teens life nowadays and the question is, is it taking over their lives? As you can see in the graphs displayed above, the amount of how long people use social media in a day is at a high rate, maybe even higher than it should be. Now there's many pros and cons about social media in general. Here are some of the pros: allows us to communicate with friends, allows you to express yourself, and allows you to share things you may find funny, cool, sad etc. Some of the cons about Social Media are: too much time spent on it can lead to addiction, possible chance of being cyber bullied, can see some inappropriate content, things you may not find pleasing, and worried about what other people are saying about you. Now as you can see there are more cons than pros to social media. This is why people should either spend less time on it or not use it at all to prevent any of the things mentioned in the cons category. Moving on, I asked the questions I did because I wanted to find out how many people are safe with their accounts. One question in the presentation is how many people let their parents know when downloading an app or a type of social media. In these results most people said no which means they could possibly be downloading viruses or using apps for wrong doing. In summary I think people should be more and more careful in what they do with their social media accounts because it is becoming more complex and any accident can lead to a harmful outcome.
