I want to attend Texas A&M Corpus Christi because i want to be a marine biologist. It's also a beautiful campus. It has a lot of Majors, and it will help you achieve your goals in life. There is more to it then just academics there are a lot of activities you can do.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi was formerly known at various times by one of the following three names: Corpus Christi State University, Texas A&I University at Corpus Christi, and the University of Corpus Christi. Before joining the Texas A&M University System in 1989. The school became a public university in 1973 when the Baptist General Convention of Texas sold it to the State.
Location & Tour
Their students explore the depths of The Gulf Of Mexico. They have lot of activities to do around campus such as going for walk on the beach on your own "private" island. There is a tradition that they do for there students who have made it to their junior year. It is called Ring Ceremony, the students are given a ring to wear. Around the campus there are many places to study with your friends or just to relax.
The career path i have chosen is a Marine Biologist. TAMUCC is known for being the collage everyone attends to be a marine biologist. The Marine Biology Program is designed for students with an interest in one or several sub disciplines of marine biology who wish to pursue careers in higher education, government, or private industry. The Marine Biology degree is different from others because it is an interdisciplinary degree program (IDP) combining the strengths of three universities within the Texas A&M University System; Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University-Galveston, and Texas A&M University.
You gain a broad understanding of marine biology. And you acquire skills necessary to conduct independent biological studies. You need to develop the skills necessary to present and publish their work at national and international venues.
Marine biology is the scientific study of organisms in the ocean or other marine life in bodies of water. The average salary for a Marine Biologist may vary depending on five things, like level of education, amount of experience, industry, company size and location. Usually they work regular office hours, but they may also work longer hours when doing fieldwork. Working in offices and laboratories, and they also work on boats, at sea, or in isolated coastal areas in all weather conditions.
