The work of heat energy is called thermodynamics. Heat moves from one system to another because of the differences in temperature. If you have two identical systems with an equal temperature, there will be no flow of energy. Entropy means that the heating or cooling of an element or compound, changes the movement possible within its atoms.

If there is a temperature difference in a system, heat will naturally change from high to low temperatures. You can find the higher temperature at the heat source. You find the lower temperature at the heat sink.

Convection: The way heat energy is transferred from one area to another.
