ReadOn Projects 2014/15
with 3LCO students

Liceo Coreutico Statale Uccellis

Hello, everybody! We are K11 students of a High School for Ballet and Contemporary Dance in Udine.

This is us in the Rehearsal room with other school mates

We have been very lucky this year! Through our English teacher Ms Anna Laghigna, we have received a trolley full of English books to read. It's been a great opportunity for us to read many English books only for pleasure!

Some of us could read up to 20 books! Unfortunately we don't have much time during schooldays, because we are in school until 5 pm and we often have ballet rehearsals also in the afternoon. But we have often read in class, expecially on Saturday morning!

This year we have also done some multimedia projects based on the books we have read!

First we worked all together on a whole class project, in which each of us had to contribute a part. We chose the city of London and studied about its main attractions. We then created a Tellagami, that is a speaking avatar to illustrate our attraction. We used our smartphones and one iPad to record our voice. It was fun!

Then our teacher uploaded all our Tellagamis on a Thinglink. You can click on the icons to see our short animated videos!

Marco on "Mandela"

I read a lot about famous protagonists of our times. I was very impressed by Ghandi, JFK and Mandela. I chose to dedicate my school project on Mandela's long walk to freedom.

Francesca on "The Phantom of the Opera"

Elena and Emma on "Alice in Wonderland"

We draw a picture inspired by "Alice in Wonderland" and created a Thinglink on it. Click on the various icons to read our book review and watch videos from uTube!

Ljuba and Aurora on Climate Change

We read a book on the issue of "Climate Change" and prepared a presentation using Tackk.

Vanja and Nicole on "Little Women"

We wrote our book review of Little Women on Tackk. All pictures are Creative Commons via

Gaia and Martina on "Titanic"

We decided to write about the most famous shipwreck in history! We also chose Tackk!

Nicole C. on "White Fang"

I preferred to work on my own and made a Tackk on my favourite book.

Carlotta and Margherita on "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer"

Camilla and Silvia on "White Death"

What else can we say?

We would like to thank the ReadOn project sponsored by Assicurazioni Generali and Oxford University Press.

Thank you so much!
We promise we will read on also in summer!

Thank you, Read ON!!!!!!!
