Neil Armstrong

We are learning about biographies in our class. Neil Armstrong was the person I chose because I did not know a lot about Neil Armstrong’s contribution to society. I also chose him was because I knew it would be great to learn more about Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon. One thing I know for sure was that he made a big change to the world.

Neil Armstrong was born August 5, 1930, in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Neil became interested in planes at age 6.Neil Armstrong began taking flying lessons at age 14 but he learned to fly at age 15. On his 16 birthday Neil got his pilot license.

Neil Armstrong went to Purdue University. He got his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. Later he got his Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering. Mr. Armstrong wanted to become a pilot .Neil got his pilot at age at age 21.

Neil Armstrong’s contribution to society was to be the first person to walk on the moon. His footprint is still there. He put an American flag on the moon and brought back moon rocks. On the historic trip to the moon two other astronauts, Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin, were with him .They assisted Neil Armstrong. He could not have done it without them. He died in August 5, 2012.
