The Continental Shelf It is located in the Sunlit zone and is at surface. This is where you probably go swimming at the beach. The animals that live in the sunlit zone are sea cucumbers, moray eels, sharks, tuna, jellyfish, sea turtles, mackerel, seals, sea lions, and sting rays.
The Continental Slope It connects the continental shelf with the abyssal plain. The slope of the continental shelf gets steeper ,turning into the continental slope. The continental slope is a submerged border of a continent that slopes to the bottom of the ocean.
