Haiku is a Japanese poetic form. It used up to 3 lines and consists of 17 syllables, in a pattern of five, seven and five. Haiku's are usually about seasons or nature. In Japanese a haiku is usually written in a straight line opposed to the three lines that are usually written in English. The most well known Japanese haiku is Bashō's "Old Pond"
