Optical Illusion #The Dress
Black and Blue, or White and Gold??
One theory everyone has about the dress is that people see it through a computer screen instead of real life. When the light hits the computer, it may hit it differently in real life. Along with that, all computers can close and open to different spots, like all the way back to all the way closed, which puts the screen at a different angle.
As light comes into your eye, it travels through a lens. (If there are different wavelengths, they respond differently to colors.) The light then hits the retina in the back of your eye and fire's up cells that connect to your visual cortex and an image then appears. Your eyes then obtain the color your looking at and essentially subtract that color from the "real" color. So, according to Bevil Conway "People either discount the blue side, in which they see white and gold, or they discount the gold side, in which they see blue and black."
