Pinocchio Lizard

The lizard that was "extinct" 50 years ago

The Pinocchio Lizard is called the "Pinocchio Lizard" because of the long nose that it has.

Zoologists believed that the Pinocchio Lizard was extinct over 50 years ago.

On October 8, 2013 the Pinocchio Lizard was spotted for the first time in over 50 years.

The Pinocchio Lizard was found in Ecuador.

The first spotting of this lizard was in 1953.

The lizard was only found in 4 places in the entire world.

Pinocchio Lizards are very well camouflaged because they are hidden in a canopy.

And last but not least, they have been sighted only 3-4 times.
