Welcome Back from Mrs Rudge

Firstly congratulations to all those students who achieved GCSE and A level grades this summer. We hope they are all settling into the next phase of their life be that in sixth form, college, university or work.

We worked hard over the Summer preparing for 2014-15 and will continue to reflect on all that we do to ensure that we have our best year yet.It has been our privilege to welcome our new year 9 and 12 students to the school and we hope they enjoy their time with us achieving all they are capable of.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank students and parents who have ensured they have arrived in school with the right attitude, equipment and uniform. Please check the uniform guidance or contact us if you are unsure of what is appropriate.

Finally, the year will pass quickly and I urge students to make every moment count, as David Brailsford the cycling coach says, it is the small steps and the attention to detail that makes the difference.

We wish students well as they embark on what we hope will be a successful year both inside and outside the classroom.

iPads

For those of you that have ordered iPads through the latest scheme they should be in school next week. We look forward to seeing them in the hands of the pupils and impacting on the learning that occurs both in and out of the classroom.
