Luke 23:43 "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." (NIV)
Context: One of the criminals says that if Jesus is The Messiah, that he could just save himself, while the other criminal acknowledges Jesus' innocence and asks Jesus to remember his name for the future. In this line, Jesus is giving the criminal hope for his future.
Meaning: It is never too late for Jesus to forgive sins. It is similiar to the Labor In the Vineyards because it doesn't matter when you come to repent your sins because you will still get the same forgiveness and option to end up in paradise.
Connections: It is similiar to many Mitty students' lives because we tend to forget what is important because many things get in the way being a better person. At the end of the day, we all appreaciate our oppurtunity to get into a state of paradise after coming clean and working hard.
