With a cover and a title like if you give a mouse a cookie you never know what is going to happen in the story or how it will end.
before we read that story i want you all to write down how you thin is going to happen in the story if you give a mouse a cookie.
1. Essential question: Predict what you think will happen in the story.
2.objective: students will practice critical thinking as they predict what will happen in the story.
3. mini lesson activity: Continuing our lesson on critical thinking is. the teacher will review critical thinking than look at the book if you give a mouse a cookie. The teacher will then show the students the cover of the book read the title and ask then what will happen? students will write down what they think will happen and draw a picture. After students have finished the teacher will read the book for the students and the students can see if their predication matched what happened in the book. students will than share their predications with their table group.
