Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
By Anna Brummal
Balanced forces are when something is staying still - it is not in motion. Or it could be like a satellite dish that is orbiting the moon. In that case, it is staying at a constant speed, so it is still a balanced force.
A unbalanced force causes a change in motion. Like in a tug of war, if one side is pulling harder than the other side, it is an example of unbalanced force. An unbalanced force either stops moving, starts moving, or change the direction it was moving.
