The British in India
By: Nikolas Floyd
- Great Britain laid the worlds thirds largest railroad network in India. Railroads brought unity to disconnected regions in India. This helped them to travel and get around easier.
- They brought peace
- Telephone and telegraph lines. This was to help communicate better.
- Schools and colleges founded. This was to help educate people
- Cash crops made it impossible for small farmers to produce enough food for themselves. This was bad because when it was time for the farmers to eat they didn't have food.
In conclusion I think the british in india was a good thing because they changed the way of life. Even though they stoped farmers from eating, they brought schools, new communication, railroads, and peace.
