The British in India

By: Nikolas Floyd

Helpful

  • Great Britain laid the worlds thirds largest railroad network in India. Railroads brought unity to disconnected regions in India. This helped them to travel and get around easier.
  • They brought peace
  • Telephone and telegraph lines. This was to help communicate better.
  • Schools and colleges founded. This was to help educate people

Harmful

  • Cash crops made it impossible for small farmers to produce enough food for themselves. This was bad because when it was time for the farmers to eat they didn't have food.

Conclusion

In conclusion I think the british in india was a good thing because they changed the way of life. Even though they stoped farmers from eating, they brought schools, new communication, railroads, and peace.

Nice job. I like that you said something about both sides of the argument. It's a fair argument :). It's good that you chose a positive side of the argument. Not many people did that. It has good information and it flows very fluently. I also like that you put bulletpoints. The only flaw I see is that in your conclusion, you spelled "stopped" wrong.

You did a good job the fact you put both side up was good. Not. Any people did that so it was thinking outside the box good man

Great job. I like how you did both helpful and harmful, but I think you should have more examples of how the British was harmful.
