John F. Kennedy

Was elected in 1960. In 1961 East Germany made the Berlin Wall JFK made peace corps us and sends in military advisers, the Vietnam Bay of Pigs Invasion fails. In 1962 the Cuban Missile Crisis begins. In 1963 they banned nuclear tests. Also JFK was assassinated.

Nikita Khrushchev

He was the head of the Soviets Communist Party and the leader of the USSR from 1958-1960. People thought he would help tensions in the cold war but he didn't so they removed him from power in 1964.

Joseph Stalin

He ruled the Soviets because everyone was scared of him. The Soviets were at first poor and in poverty but when he became in power they were a military superpower.

Joseph MacArthur

In 1946 he was elected U.S. senate. In 1950 he publicly charged that 205 communists had infiltrated the U.S. state department.

Dwight Eisenhower

He was the 34th president of the U.S. He committed federal funds to fighting in Vietnam.

Georgy Malencov

He was the soviets Polititon. Also he was the communists Party leader.

Leonid Brezhnev

Fist secretary for the communist party. Later on he was chairman of the presidium.

He was the 36th president. He escalated U.S. troops after the Gulf of Tolkien incident.

He directed a lot of military strategy for 4 years. In 1968 he halted bomb attacks so he was replaced.

Leader in the African American civil rights movement. He also was an important role in the NAACP.

He was a Human rights Activist. Also a Muslim minster.

Fannie Lou Hamer

She was an American voting rights activist. She was also a great Civil rights leader.

Thurgood Marshall

He was a lawyer for civil rights. He won 29/30 cases he did for civil rights between 1938-1961.

Daisy Bates

She was a publisher/Journalists. She also played an important role in the Little rock integration crisis.

Rosa Parks

A white person border the bus and there was no seats up front so they asked Rosa to move. She started the civil war by saying a simple "no."

Little Rock Nine

First African america teenagers to attend all-white central high school. One day of school the sent the national guard to keep out African american students.
