how does a jet fly

by ethan stueart and trevor bielik

what is a jet?

a jet is a high speed flying machine that can reach 200 _300 mph

lift

Airplanes fly because they are able to use a force called Lift which normally moves the airplane upward. Lift is generated by the forward motion of the airplane through the air.

thrust

Thrust is the force produced by the engine. It is directed forward along the axis of the engine.

drag

Drag is a component of the aerodynamic  force, namely the projection onto the same  direction as the wind is going

weight

Weight is the force of gravity. It is equal to the mass of the jet x the local gravitational field. You can measure the acceleration of gravity by observing the motion

additions

it uses fosil fuels

chemical-heat-mechanical

gravatational forces

electric or magnetic feilds
frictional forces

atoms absorbing
