60's & 90's

-Popular artists during the 60's were The Byrds, The Beach Boys, and Herman's Hermits. Some of their famous songs were "Turn! Turn! Turn!" "I Get Around," and "No Milk Today." The type of clothing they wore were bright colors, mis-matched patterns, bell-bottoms, and tie dye. The Andy Griffith Show was very popular.

-A major world event during the 60's was when M.L.K. gave his famous "I have a dream" speech in 1963.John F. Kennedy was president during this time and was later assassinated in 1963. More popular genres were the blues, soul, folk, and rock and roll.

                                                                 90's

-Popular artists during the 90's were Madonna, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey. Their famous songs were "Vogue," "I will always love you," and "Fantasy." The clothing they wore were bucket hats, short skirts, hoodies, and a lot of denim but it later changed and became more preppy. The TV show "Friends" became very popular during the 90's and people still watch it today.

-A major world event that occurred in the 90's was when the World Trade Center was bombed in 1993. The president during this time was Bill Clinton. Other popular genres were teen pop, hip hop, rock, and alternative rock.
