Rosa Parks

I’m writing my biography report on Rosa Parks. I chose Rosa Parks because she made everyone equal. She stood up for her rights. I also chose Rosa Parks because she made a boycott. A boycott is a group of people who agree to not buy in stores, buses or taxis so they get shut down so they won’t get a lot of money.

Rosa Parks was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, in 1913. Rosa Parks was raised in Pine Level Alabama in her early childhood. She was the eldest of two kids. She defended her brother from white children. There were no buses for black children so she walked to school daily.

At Rosa’s school they taught her how to cook, knit and take care of the sick. She was about eight years old when she first went to a school in Montgomery City. Rosa Parks didn’t finish school because she had to take care of her sick grandmother. She got married in 1932 to Raymond Parks and then after she got her high school diploma

Rosa Parks did not give up her seat for a white person on the bus. This started a boycott that lasted 381 days to have equal rights with everyone. In 1956 segregation ended on buses. She made equal rights for her people. Rosa Parks was a role model for courage.
