PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event, either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. Can be triggered by loud noises such as fireworks or air shows. Approximately 30% of men and 27% of women had PTSD at some point in their life following Vietnam.
