Chris Young Producer - A Re-directed Career
Chris Young Producer is a gifted songwriter and music producer. His love of music began at a very early age when family members first identified his extraordinary musical gifts. He could easily sight read music by the time he was five years old. His prodigious musical talent landed him at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, where he studied music alongside such talents as Josh Groban and Jewel.
After graduation from Interlochen he began touring with some of the biggest names in the music industry, playing the trumpet with Elton John, James Brown, Dolly Parton, Stevie Wonder, Lenny Kravitz, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, among others. He also performed with symphony orchestras and jazz ensembles. But his performing career was cut short when he was still in his early twenties after his mouth was damaged during oral surgery.
The effects were devastating. "I felt like an athlete that had his knee blown out just before draft," recalled Chris Young Producer. But his musical drive led him to redirect his talent to writing songs and to the recording studio. He has written or co-written songs that have placed high on the Billboard charts. He has also been instrumental in launching the careers of new and unheard performers, helping them realize their dreams of achieving mainstream success.
The discoveries of Chris Young Producer have made it onto national radio and Billboard charts, and have also been selected as finalists on American Idol, The Voice, X Factor, and P. Diddy's Starmaker. He is a member of the Academy of Recording Science's Producer's and Engineers wing.
