Martin Luther was born and died in Eisleben, Germany. He attended the university of Erfurt at age 18 for four years. He married Katharina von Bora at the age of 42, and had six children with her.

Luther stirred the pot by suggesting it be acceptable for different denominations of of religion. Today you can see this in the Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, and other christian churches.
We might still be under papal rule if not for Martin Luther; a big concern of his was separating the Church and State.
