Endocrine System

*Your endocrine system is responsible for the fast growth you experience during your teem years.

*Your endocrine glands work by responding to signals from the brain or from the pituitary gland.

*The endocrine system is made up of glands located throughout the body.

*The Endocrine System is a chemical communication system that controls many body functions.

*The Pituitary Gland is a gland that signals other endocrine glands to produce hormones when needed.

*The pituitary gland is located at the midpoint of the skull, behind the eyes.

Female Reproductive System

*During puberty, the Ovaries contain the ova, or eggs and produce hormones.

*The Fallopian Tubes carry eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. (Fertilization takes place here.)

*The Uterus shelters and nourishes the fetus.

*The Endometrium is the lining of the uterus.

*The Cervix opens the uterus.

*The Vagina is the muscular passageway from the uterus to the outside of the body.

*The Female Reproductive System has three functions which are it stores egg cells, creates offspring.


Male Reproductive System

* The Seminal Vesicles, Prostate Gland, and Cowpers Glands, secrete fluids to help nourish and protect the sperm.

*The Uretha tube that carries urine and sperm to the outside of the body.

*The penis is the external sexual organ.

*Testes are two small glands that produce sperm and hormones.

*The Scrotum is the muscular sac that contains the testes.

*Vas Defernes is the tubes that extend from each epididymis to the urethra.

* Epididymis is located behind each testicle, a network of tubes in which the sperm mature and are stored temporarily.

* During puberty, the testes produce testosterone and sperm.

*Sperm is the male sex cell.

*Epididymis then goes to Van Deferens then Ejaculation, then from the Van Deferens its the sperm mix with secretions from the seminal vesicles, the prostate gland, and the Cowper's gland. Semen is created
