Confucians follow the teachings of Confucius. Confucius was a wise man who created the philosophy that people need to except their roles in society. He also created the thought of Filial Piety, which means to respect your elders because they are wise and know what is for the best. Confucianism has three main ideas. One is that people should know their roles in society, the second is that government officials should be good role models and they should be elected not by who they know, but by how much skill they have in that position. And lastly, Filial Piety. There is also five relationships Confucians live by. they are son obeys father, younger brother obeys older brother, wife obeys husband, subjects obey rulers, and a persons friends are all equal.
