Mesopotamia is a great place to live! Throughout this Tackk I will show you where Mesopotamia is located, advantages of living in Mesopotamia, and a funny video!
Where is Mesopotamia located?
Mesopotamia is located between the Tigris and Euphrates River. Mesopotamia is also located on the Fertile Crescent, which is a piece of flat fertile land which would be great for agriculture. You would be living on flat land so it would be easy to farm. Mesopotamia has a perfect location!
One advantage is that you would always have a stable food supply. Mesopotamia is located between two rivers and so you would always have water to drink. To keep the water supply controlled you had to create irrigation systems such as, dams, levees, and canals. You would be living on flat fertile land so you would be able to grow crops.
Another advantage is that you could domesticate animals instead of hunting for animals, therefore you could have a more permanent shelter to live in.
Lastly in Mesopotamia there are Empires. These Empires were ruled by different Kings which were Mesopotamia's government. They helped make life more fair and orderly. The Empires also made new discoveries and created inventions. The Neo- Babylonian empire made different discoveries such as the 60 minute hour and the 7 day week.
