The Seven Themes of
Catholic Social Teaching
By: Caroline

Life and Dignity of Human Person

You should love and care for others and treat them respectfully. Instead of hurting others and pushing them down, we need to let them live and help them grow. If you and another person have a disagreement, find an easy way to solve it without causing a riot.

It teaches that every human person is sacred from conception to death. We believe that those who are weak, vulnerable, or marginalized deserve special respect, especially those who are unborn, disabled, elderly or dying.

Call to Family, Community, and Participation

People like to get to know one another and talk to each other. We need to help our families and do what we can for our community. We especially need to help the people who are less fortunate than us.

Africa helps bring clean water to Africa and and increase food in Africa. It helps improve the communities in Africa for a better and easier lifestyle.

Rights and Responsibilities

People need necessities. We have the responsibility to respect and save things like food, clothing, education, and shelter.

CRC helps find people who are willing to help provide things for people who need it more.

Option for the Poor and Vulnerable

The rich are higher up in the community than the poor. We need to be the ones who help the poor and get them on their feet. We always need to consider how they are doing.

It sends resources to people who need them and help find people to who are willing to help them as well.

The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers

You need to work to make a living for yourself. Working is a way to participate in how God made you and everyone else. You are participating in His creation. People who work need to be respected and cared for.

USCCB helps teach God's word to people working and have them spread God's word as well.

No matter what we look like or where we're from, we need to respect one another and love each other. We need to make peace, not fight.

Teaches people how to interact with others and how to work in a certain situation.

Care for God's Creation

We need to respect God and care for everything he has made. We need to stay peaceful with all of God's creation.

Helps raise awareness in a church community and everyone in it.
