What the bendy iPhones say about product design

and why this is a bigger problem than poor manufacturing

The iPhone 6, the thinnest, longest and lightest phone that Apple has released, apparently bends in people’s pockets. It is hardly a surprise, given the insubstantial qualities of the phone.

What comes as a shock is rather Apple’s complete lack of understanding of how people use the phone. Even more baffling - Apple employees *must* keep their phones in their pockets, too.

I guess this is what happens when you focus on the product more than the ways it’s going to be used, and ultimately, on the user.
