Kinetic Vs. Potenial Energy
By: Jordan Spooner
- The energy that a body possesses by virtue of being in motion.
- The energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position relative to others, stresses within itself, electric charge, and other factors.
-Rolling a ball down a hill.
-Riding your bike down a hill.
-Pushing a toy car.
-Pushing a spring down.
-Rubber bands being pulled apart.
-Standing on the edge of a cliff.
Where Is It Found?
Energy can be found in basically everything ranging from a rock falling off a cliff to a tissue falling off of your desk.
This video will explain all about kinetic and potential energy.
When the rock is sitting on the edge of the cliff it is potential. When the rock is falling it is carrying kinetic energy.
