Maverick Message

Dear Parents:

Last week was definitely not a normal week because of delays and closings. Our students and teachers made the best of it and the time that we did have in class. Our teachers and staff were so flexible with the altered schedule. We have another delay today and it looks like there is more in the forecast for later in the week…so, it appears that we will practice being flexible yet again. Last week. I did not get to spend a lot of time in classrooms to capture the learning at MCES. However, I did get to capture some of the excitement with the snow. There was a lot of that!

On Friday, February 27th, we kick off events for our "Read Across Madison" celebration. Guest readers are coming from James Clemens. We are very honored to welcome Mayor Troy Trulock and his wife, Dana, to read to our students too. Teachers are planning special events to celebrate and promote a love for reading. I am excited about the events planned!

I look forward to another amazing week being a Maverick!
