how to prepare Cacık
Place the garlic, yogurt and water in a medium sized bowl. Mix with a wooden spoon until it is blended very well. Add diced cucumber and mix again. With a ladle pour into small bowls and then add 1tbsp of olive oil on top of each. Garnish with fresh dill.
Cacik goes very well as a side dish with white beans, rice or chickpeas.
P.S:I couldn’t put garlic while I was preparing because there weren’t any garlic left at my dormitary.But garlic is very important.Don’t forget to put it.
1) 1 clove of garlic , minced with salt
2)1 cup cucumber , diced (3 or 4 ones)
3)1 1/2 cup plain yogurt (half a kilo)
4)Extra virgin olive oil
5)Fresh dill, chopped(optional)
