Sui, Tang and Song Dynasties
The Sui dynasty, led by emperor Wendi, increased trade, helped expand conquered lands, and built the grand canal, which is the worlds largest man made waterway. The Sui dynasty lasted from 589 to 618 CE
In the Tang dynasty, Empress Wu Zetian ruled China for 56 years. She was the only female to ever rule china. The Tang dynasty also conquered land and expanded westward.
The Song dynasty flourished greatly, lasting more than 300 years. The dynasty re-established the capital of China in the city of Kaifeng. The Song Dynasty also helped introduce Confucianism to China. More about the Song dynasty can be found here:
