When reading the first couple of pages it showed one memory moment. It showed the first couple of pages in the book that he got in trouble and had to do work on parole for what he did. Tyler then thinks back to when he got into trouble for spray painting the school. He got caught, because he accidentally left his wallet. He said he did this, because he wanted to be known for something. This memory might be important, because small decisions like he made might lead to bigger and worse consequences.

Words of the Wiser
In this book, the character Mr. Hughes gives Tyler a talk. It said Mr. Hughes wanted Tyler to remember their talk. Tyler said that everyone thinks he is standing on thin ice, because of the prank that he pulled with the graffiti. If he makes anymore bad choices it could lead to Tyler getting in even more trouble. This is why Mr. Hughes told he to remember their talk, so he remembers not to do anything that could hurt him in the long run. I really think that Tyler should listen to Mr. Hughes, so he finishes senior year on a good note.

Contrast and Contradictions
Tyler isn't known to be a very big guy or a fighter. He was always called Nerd Boy and picked on by Bethany's brother Chip. After working at his new job though, he has become more fit. He would have never had the guts to stand up to Chip, until now. He hears his friend Yoda scream inside the locker room. He goes in to see his friend in a lot of trouble with the JV football team. Tyler pushes one of the guys against the locker and tells him to leave Yoda alone. Then, Chip walks in and ask what is going on. When he finds out, the JV team wants to have Chip beat up Tyler. Tyler knows he won't though, so he keeps telling Chip to take a swing at him and mocking him. I think it's a good thing that Tyler isn't afraid to stand up to people anymore, but I do think he needs to be more careful that was he won't get in anymore trouble since he is on thin ice right now.
