Some local expressions the people there might be using, which if you are visiting there might want to learn some, are... ella anda por su cabeza- she does what she wants/feels like. Estoy kaigue- i'm lazy, I don't feel like doing anything. Estamos con los perros- we are with our buddies/friends. Zarpado- amazing, extraordinary, big. The climate of Paraguay is a subtropical, humid climate. A very unpleasant place if you ask me
Paraguay is a landlocked country in the middle of South America with a whopping 6.3 million people inhabiting it. Paraguay only has electricity due to the huge river dams that produce it. Some of the biggest industry items in Paraguay are sugar, cement, textiles, and beverages such as Coke and Pepsi. The things they grow agriculturally are cotton, sugarcane, soybeans, corn, beef(cattle); timber. Things they export are soybeans, feed, cotton, meat, and edible oils. An estimated 400,000 Brazilians have crossed the border from Brazil to Paraguay to flee high land prices in their own country. The U.S. Government works with Paraguay to help stop the production of illegal weapons, and drug smuggling in Paraguay, which a lot of times, they products end up in the U.S..
Food and Drink
some Famous food that you will often see in Paraguay are, bori-bori, a chicken soup served with cornmeal dumplings. Chipa, a bread made with manioc, egg and cheese. Chipa Guasú, is a cake made with corn grains and is an original and very popular food in Paraguay. Some popular native drinks are... Mosto, which is sugar cane juice. Caña, which is the alcoholic version of Mosto. Yerba Maté, tea-like drink brewed from dried leaves and stemlets from the Yerba Maté tree.

My favorite famous person from Paraguay is Jose Luis Chilavert, a famous soccer player that was born in Luque, Paraguay. He was born on July 27, 1965 and has 74 appearances on the Paraguay National Soccer Team. He has also been named IFFHS Worlds best goalkeeper three times in his career. Some other famous people include Larissa Riquelme, a famous model. Julieta Granada, a famous golfer. And Zenon Franco, a famous chess player.Some famous places that are often times visited is the city Asuncion, "the mother of all cities". This city is a great historical site, based on the fact that in 1811, They declared independence for the whole country from Spain. Another popular place to visit is Encarnación, The capitol city of Paraguay. Located on the western shore of the Paraná River. A very popular destination for most people because of it's wide beaches and newly completed waterfront boardwalk attracting more than 300,000 tourists each year. Another popular place is Ciudad Del Este, the second largest city in Paraguay. One of the biggest attractions here is Refugio Tati Yupi, One of the last atlantic forests not flooded by the Itaipu river.
