How to Not Hate Reading!

Reading, is one of those things where you either love it or you hate it. I'm, obviously, on the love it side. You go in with the right mind set and it's like watching a movie in your head. It passes the time and is entertaining. It makes me a little sad that not so many people read, as they are generally better than the TV show or movie it is based off of. Students think of it as work, but it doesn't have to be.

Why Do So many Students Think of Reading as a Bad Thing?

Students believe that reading, a generally enjoyable past time, has to be work and it's forced. I used to think of it as work and hated every second I did it. That was about 2 years ago, then I discovered "The Hunger Games". Almost everyone is familiar with it, and it introduced me to reading.

How to Enjoy Reading!

To be blunt, students IQ drops more and more each and every day. There is a ton of reasons for this, and it's definitely not just from our lack of reading. The problem is, I believe is either a) The student is lazy, or b) Hasn't found a book they enjoy. I  don't want to bother with a, so if you are in group b, I can certainly help. Experiment with books until you found something interesting. Read about 50 pages to get a feel for it, if it still bores you, it could either be the author's style or the genre. 1 bad book in a genre should in no way judge your opinion. I would read based off recommendations at first, then try out some indie or less known books. Hunger Games is great to start out with, if you want something longer, A Song of Ice and Fire is great, but you could also read The Maze Runner.

Kindle comes with 2 books, but the rest will cost a price, generally cheaper than the hard cover and much more convenient.
