The Vietnam war started in November 1st 1955 until April 30th 1975. The Vietnam war was fought between communist North Vietnam and the government of the south Vietnam. The North was supported by communist countries such as the people of China  and Soviet Union, and the South was supported by anti-communists countries,mostly United States. The reason why the North attacked the South is because the North wanted to have more land and one country.
