Dos Equis: Most Interesting Man In the World

Dos Equis launched because the wanted to up their sales and it was a low profile branch of Heineken. It was to catch people's attention with the advertisements as they air on TV. The advertisement shows every guys fantasy when they get older.

Was to spread awareness about the small branch if Heinken.

This video promotes the branch of Heineken with a quirky and funny. Aspect to a drink and it quickly creates a public favorite.

Showed every guy a goal to become when they are older

This shows most guys fantasies when they are older. They don't see competition and the brand is showing how if you drink the beer you will become Mr. Goldman

For Dos Equis to become a manly brand.  

There is so much going on in the videos that you cannot look away. The Dos Equis guy is older and when he says" I don't normally drink beer.. But when I do.. I prefer Dos Equis" shows how instead of scotch he is drinking beer and it makes the beer more manly. Consumers will want to be like him so they will drink the beer that he does. It catches the attention of everyone and the tag line is always memorable.

I remember these ads and this was huge in social media which is great for Dos Equis. Many funny memes have been made from this advertisement.

I think its great that this campaign was able to clesrly target their specific market by appealing to men's desires, so I think that if I could bring back this campaign I would create an ad that could be seen at sports games because it would reach a large percentage of their target market, and people often associate watching sporting events with drinking.

To enhance this I would show what it's like for women when they see men drink this particular beer, so that it's backing up the appeal men have.

This series of commercials is one of my favorites! I loved watching these when I was younger. There was seemingly always a new advertisement when the previous advertisement was becoming old. The popularity of this campaign had a large influence on pop culture and sparked many other campaigns similar to this one.

I think if this campaign were to come back, it would be interesting to see the most interesting woman in the wolrd in the tv advertisements to backup the success it has with the male side and it would help the company by gaining female supporters as well

I really liked this campaign because each commercial, the man did knew exciting things and you couldn't wait to see what he would do next.
