True Friends

What is a true friend?

Elder Robert D. Hales said "friends are people who make it easier to live the gospel of Jesus Christ." True friends influence those whom they associate to "rise a little higher and be a little better." Something that I learned growing up was "choose friends that share your values so you can strengthen and encourage each other in living high standards." I now realize that true friends are hard to find but I still have hope that I will find a bunch one day.

How do I figure out who my true friends are?

As a kid I had trouble with my friends and figuring out who my true friends were. I had to suffer through a lot of pain to make my friends like me, I had to be cool for them. I now realize that being myself and my friends liking me is way better than being in pain to try and fit in. Don't be fake always be yourself and you will find true friends. I'm in 7th grade now and I'm very happy with all my friends, they make me feel good about myself and are my true friends.

How should I act towards my friends?

Everyone knows that you need to be yourself around your friends, but they probably don't act completely like themselves. I use to act a little fake to fit in but I realize that its a lot better to be real. My friends are real around me and I appreciate that.

I love this. Most people are always trying to fit in with others even though it makes them unhappy. They lose their sense of identity in the process and don't know who they truly are as a person. I'm glad that you realized that just being yourself should be enough for others. If it is not, then they aren't a true friend. If I were you, I would read back over your project and fix grammatical errors. Other than that, it's a great project.
