Why Jacques is famous!

   Jacques Cousteau is famous for many different reasons! Jacques Cousteau is an underwater explorer, and traveled the seas. Jacques wanted to stay underwater for long periods of times so he could explorer longer. Soon Jacques created the “Aqua Lung” which allowed him to breathe underwater for long periods of times. Jacques created an airtight cover for his camera so he could take it underwater. Jacques created a film underwater called, “The Silent World”, that was viewed all over the world. Jacques created more underwater items to use. Next, Jacques and his team invented the “diving saucer”, and then came the “Sea Flea”. The Diving Saucer allowed you to hold two people and would descend 350 meters into the ocean. The Sea Flea could hold one person and could go 500 meters into the ocean. Jacques also loved to film. He had a TV series, The Undersea World Of Jacques Cousteau, which allowed people to watch sea creatures on TV! That is how Jacques Cousteau is famous in many ways.

    Jacques Cousteau grew up in Saint Andre-de-Cubzac France. He was a weak, sickly little boy. Doctors suggested for him to swim to regain his strength. Ever since then he loved the water. Jacques saved his money and built himself a camera to make movies and films! A friend gave Jacques a pair of goggles so he could see the amazing beauty of the undersea world. He loved the sea so much he wanted to stay underwater longer, so he created the aqua lung which allowed him to stay under water and breath for long periods. Jacques then decided to create an airtight cover for his camera so he could make films underwater of the sea life. The movie he made was

        Jacques has made a lot of accomplishment throughout his life of the sea! One of Jacques biggest success is inventing the Aqua Lung. The Aqua Lung allows you to breathe underwater for a long time! Jacques invented more inventions for the sea such as the “Sea Flea”, and the “Diving Saucer”. The Sea Flea held one person and could go into the ocean 500 meters deep! The Diving Saucer could hold two people and could descend 350 meters into the ocean. Jacques accomplished to have his own television program to showcase the ocean! Not only did Jacques have a television program, he also published a book to show everyone the marine world. Jacques book was named “The Silent World”. Jacques was in a serious car accident, but that didn't stop him from achieving his dreams.

About The Aqua Lung

This is a primary source of the Aqua lung that Jacques Cousteau invented. This picture is the real Aqualung that Jacques created/invented. The AquaLung is one of the main parts of why Jacques is famous. Jacques wanted to stay underwater longer to explore the beautiful sea. Jacques decided to invent the Aqua lung. The Aqua Lung is a machine for the ocean which allows you to breathe underwater for long periods. The Aqua Lung then allowed Jacques to explore the sea longer and collect better picture/data.
