Chris and Avery WEATHER
TO wear away or change the appearance or texture of (something) by long exposure to air
Weather is another word for weathering. Weathering is the breaking down of rocks, soil and minerals as well as artificial materials through contact with the earths atmosphere. Weathering occurs with no movement. There are two types of weathering there is chemical weathering and there is physical weathering. Physical weathering is the process of rocks breaking apart without changing their chemical composition. Chemical weathering is caused by rain water reacting with the mineral grains in rocks to form new minerals and soluble salts.
