Henry was born a salve, well educated, leading abolitionist, and a clergyman. He was born in December 23, 1815, in Kent country, Maryland. His speech was called, "Call to Rebellion", it encouraged slaves to free themselves by rising up.
He escaped with his family escaped to New York when he was the age of 9.
He became the first black speaker to address congress.
He eventually became a well known for some of his skills as an orator, he was also well known for his speeches.
On February 12, 1865 President Abraham Lincoln chose him to speak to the House Of Representatives.
