Communist Revolution of CHINA
On October 1st, 1949, Chinese communist Mao Zedong declared the creation of the People Of China. The Announcement ended to costly full-scale civil war between the Chinese communist party or Kuomintang, which broke out immediately following world war ii and have been preceded on and off conflict between the 2 sides since the 1920.
Chinese communist party founded in 1921 in Shanghai, originally was a study group working within confines of first United front with nationalist party. They joined with Nationalist Army in Northern Expedition of 1926-27 to rid nation of war that prevented formation of a strung central government, collaboration lasted until "White Terror" of 1927 when nationalist turned on communist killing them or purging them from the party.
After Japanese invaded Manchuria in 1931 government faced triple threat of Japanese invasion, communist uprising and war world insurrections.
During WWII popular support communist increased. U.S. official in china reported a doctoral suppression of dissent in nationalist-controlled areas.
Japanese surrender set the stage for resurgence of civil war in china, though, only nominally democratic Nationalist government of Chiang Kai-Shek and Mao Zedong met for a series of talks, had a truce but overtime went what turned out to be was a full out civil war all these lies almost made a coalition government.
As civil war gained strength from 1947-48 communist victory seemed very likely. Has strong grass-root support, superior military organization and morale, and large stocks of weapons from Japanese supplies in Manchuria.
Ability of PRC and U.S. to find common ground in wake of establishment of new chinese state was hampered by both domestic politics and global tensions.
For more than 20 years after chinese revolution of 1949, there were few contacts. limited trade and no diplomatic ties between the 2 countries.
